Ovation has been participating in fundraisers for
DRA for several years now. We started by having
the opportunity raise money for
DRA in a contest format thru Tremaine Dance Conventions, we won! Our dancers
were swept away on a trip to Los Angeles, California for a whirlwind of events.
This trip included dance classes, meeting with agents, tours & a performance
that Patrick Swayze and Joe Tremaine spoke at! With a younger group of dancers
we won another DRA contest and went on a trip to NYC which included a video
session, tour, classes at Broadway Dance Center and the Radio City Dress
Rehearsal Xmas Show! We also participated in one of DRA’s benefit shows in
Harlem, NY and decided to create our own along with Denise Daniele Studios. We
are currently entering our fourth year in the Dancers Unite For Life show held
at the Strand Theater in Lakewood NJ. We have helped to raise over $60,000 for
DRA with our shows. Local studios participate for
a non competitive evening of dance. It is a great experience for all involved.
Our show this year will be on February 7th at 3pm at the Strand Theater. Tickets
are $25 each and all of the money goes directly to
DRA. If anyone would like to come tickets can be purchased at our studio.
This years show will include seven studios from all over NJ along with
professional dancers and singers from NYC.
The show was cancelled due to the snow, we will be having
it in the summer. Date to be announced, please save your tickets!
